Overview

Kitchen Kandy is a national boutique retail demonstration and merchandising agency for domestic and commercial appliances, part of Australia's Aguzzo Group and partnering with major appliance manufacturers for more than twenty years. Aavitech built the platform it runs on: a web portal covering brands, retailers, demonstrators, stock, budgets and invoicing, and an Android app the ambassadors carry into store - so every demonstration ends up as sales data a brand can read the same day.

The challenge

Field marketing generates its value in stores and loses it on the way back: activity notes in spreadsheets, photos in phone galleries, stock counts in email. Brands paying for demonstrations want to see what happened in store and what it did to sell-through, and the agency needs its bookings, rosters and crews coordinated without a paper trail.

Our solution

The platform has two halves. The web portal runs the business: brands and retailer groups, the demonstrator roster, activities and rates, demonstrations, stock, budgeting, invoices, expenses and email templates, with a Login As control so head office can work inside any account. The Android app is what the ambassador carries - their own schedule grouped by month and store with a completion state on every booking, and behind each booking the activation record: start, end and total hours, status, timestamped photos of the set-up, and units sold captured against product codes. That field data lands straight in the reporting layer, where the Demonstrator Summary Report filters by brand, activity, category, product, state, retailer group and date range, and charts sales by state in both dollars and share, ranks performing stores, and reduces the whole program to one number a brand understands - sales per demonstration.

What we built

One portal for the whole agency

One portal for the whole agency

Brands, retailer groups, demonstrators, activities and rates, demonstrations, stock, email templates and app terms administered from a single back office.

Allocations in calendar view

Allocations in calendar view

In-store work allocated across stores and months, with shift times and a clear completed or upcoming state on every booking in the ambassador's app.

Capture from the shop floor

Capture from the shop floor

Start, end and total hours, timestamped photos of the set-up, stock updates and units sold by product code - recorded during the visit, not after it.

Demonstrator Summary Report

Filtered by brand, activity, type, category, product, state, retailer group and date range, ranked by dollar sales, and printable straight from the dashboard.

Retail analytics that answer the brief

Retail analytics that answer the brief

Sales by state in dollars and share, a performing-stores ranking, and sales per demonstration - the number that tells a brand whether the campaign paid.

Budgets, invoices and expenses

Budgets, invoices and expenses

Campaign budgeting, invoicing and expense tracking sit in the same system as the activity they bill for, so the commercial picture matches the field one.

The result

The platform is in production across the agency's national demonstrator program, with the field app live on Google Play under the Aguzzo Group account and still shipping updates (last released August 2026). Allocations, attendance, in-store evidence and sell-through now arrive as live dashboards rather than spreadsheets, giving the European small domestic appliance brands they represent a same-day read on retail execution and campaign ROI.
