PrimaViewer opens Primavera P6 schedules in a browser for everyone who has to read them but does not hold a P6 licence - owners, subcontractors, executives and field teams. It reads XER files straight through, shows the WBS, activities and Gantt with costs, resources and relationships, compares two revisions of the same schedule, and lets people write progress back to the scheduler without ever altering the file.
Primavera P6 licences are expensive and thinly spread, so the people who most need to read a schedule usually cannot open one. The scheduler ends up exporting PDFs for every question, revisions are compared by eye, progress arrives by email, and years of POBS records quietly bloat the XER until it crawls on load.
We delivered a web application that treats the XER as a first-class document. Activities, the work breakdown structure, the critical path, milestones, calendars, relationships, activity codes, notebook topics and steps are all browsable, with a Gantt view and look-ahead filters for a chosen calendar window. Schedule Comparison takes an original and an updated XER and reports exactly what moved - added and deleted activities, duration, date, cost, constraint, relationship, resource assignment and code changes - to PDF or Excel. Progress entry captures actual start and finish, percent complete, remaining duration and notes as a report for the scheduler, leaving the source XER untouched, and the XER Cleaner strips POBS data so files load fast in P6 again.
XER files open straight in the browser - work breakdown structure, activities, Gantt, critical path, milestones, resources, relationships, codes, notebook topics and steps.
Point at an original and an updated schedule and get the differences: added and deleted activities, durations, dates, costs, constraints, relationships, resource assignments and code changes.
Actual start and finish, percent complete, remaining duration and notes captured as a report for the scheduler - the source XER is never modified.
Filter the schedule to the next n calendar days, with the option to keep all work already in progress in view.
Strips accumulated POBS records out of a file so schedules stop crawling when they load back into P6.
Comparison results, progress logs and schedule views exported to PDF and Excel for the stakeholders who never open the tool.
PrimaViewer sells as a yearly subscription - $595 for up to five users, $1,250 for six to fifteen, $3,500 for sixteen to fifty and an enterprise tier on quote - with upgrades, patches and email support included, and the PrimaLyzer and Schedule Cleaner tools bundled alongside it.
